Dear Families
We celebrated Mother's Day in fine style last week. The Mums enjoyed a wellness session with Samantha Bingham (from 'Wellness' in Warragul) and an afternoon tea in the Mary MacKillop room. After that, we all went to the church to celebrate a Mother's Day Prayer Service to thank God for our Mums. We love you so much and you play such an important role in our families. THANK YOU!
OPEN DAY
We have our OPEN DAY this coming Monday. If you know a family with a four year old, you might like to suggest that they visit our school for our OPEN DAY.
Last Saturday, ten of our students celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation in our church. Bishop Greg Bennett and Fr Bernard Buckley celebrated the Sacrament and it was a particularly moving ceremony. Congratulations to Eleanor Steendam, Harry Westbury, Maycee Shankar, Pippa Dilger, Sienna Jamieson, Conrad Edwards, Zara Boyle, Zeke Garratt, Charlotte Jamieson and Charlie Harte.
Father's Group
Last year as part of our Father's Day celebrations, Chris Laming (local Men's Health and Wellbeing practitioner) ran a dads' group conversation. It was received especially well. Dads said it was helpful to have an opportunity to talk with other Dads about the delights and challenges of parenthood. Chris is happy to run some more conversations if dads would like this. We're thinking that probably a minimum of 4 in a group could work.Venue: Parish CentrePossible dates: 4/6/25; 18/6/25; 2/7/25Suggested times : Wednesdays at 5.30 to 6.30pm or 7.30pm to 8.30pm.You can find the Expression of Interest form at this link:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1oFGEcugCuoQsRxVzRttVzffgf7V5N6wffMDaaQC8NnQ/edit

Health Care/Pension Card
If you have a current or updated Health Care/Pension Card can you please bring it into the office so that we can record it and register it in our system. Cardholders get positive financial benefits with this card.
Walk Safely to School Day
The Baw Baw Shire are promoting 'Walk Safely to School Day' on Friday May 16. This is an annual campaign and event which encourages all primary school children, their parents and carers, to walk safely and regularly to school. It is important for children and young people to be active everyday. Physical activity has many social, emotional, physical and mental health benefits. Walking to school is a great way to incorporate physical activity into a daily routine to support healthy development. Regular physical activity, especially walking, can improve self-esteem and confidence, help concentration and improve overall fitness.
You are encouraged to meet up with other families and walk or ride together on this day.
If you would like to meet up with a school group, Ms Marino will leave Oak Tree Park Trafalgar at 8.10am. Then she will walk to McGregor Park at 8.15am and then walk to school via Ashby Street. Students who participate in this event will get a promotional water based tattoo and fruit and water. What a healthy way to start school.
May God continue to bless us in our learning.
