Dear families
Gratefulness Prayer for the End of Term
Loving God,
We thank You for the wonderful term we have shared together at school.
Thank You for the joy of celebrating with our grandparents, for the fun of our Talent Show and Disco,
and for the excitement of Book Week.
We are grateful for our teachers who guide us, care for us,
and help us to learn each day.
Please help us to listen carefully, try our best, and keep growing in knowledge and kindness.
Bless our families and friends, and keep us happy and safe during the holidays.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Sports Dress Up Day
Today we came dressed in our favourite sports clothes. The P&F provided a special hot lunch for us. It was a great day.

Registration Authority
The VRQA (Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority) makes sure all schools in Victoria meet the standards to provide students with a safe and high-quality education. This week we welcomed a representative from the VRQA to our school, and we are proud to share that we passed with flying colours!
Disco
We are very lucky to have a great P&F at school, who organised the best Disco recently for us. Thank you so much to the parents who organised this for us, especially Narelle, Andrew, Jacqui, Ellie, Lisa and Hannah. We all had so much fun. Here are a few pics…
R U OK? Day
Recently we celebrated R U OK? day. A group of senior students dressed up in yellow (the happy color for R U OK? day) and we visited the classrooms and promoted the very important message of genuinely checking in with each other. We enjoyed healthy yellow treats (banana, pineapple, yellow kiwi fruit) and then we had 1 yellow banana lolly. We watched an upbeat music clip of senior primary students singing the important messages of R U OK? day. We had fun promoting this important day.
Parents please remember that the first day of term 4 is Tuesday October 7th. Monday is a professional learning day for teachers and there are no students at school this day.
May God continue to bless and guide us in our learning.

A Special Report: The Cost of Living Crisis
In our ever-changing economic landscape, parents and caregivers are increasingly faced with the task of broaching the subject of growing expenses with their children. While the instinct may be to shield young people from life’s challenges, there's a growing belief that addressing real-world issues, including financial uncertainties, can actually foster resilience and understanding. Striking a balance between protection and education is crucial for those looking to empower their children.
To effectively introduce the topic of finances, we need to be mindful of the timing and setting of the conversation. Using straightforward, age-appropriate language helps maintain transparency, and openly discussing adjustments to the family budget can carry significant weight. By encouraging children to participate in finding creative ways to save and make thoughtful spending choices, parents can nurture a sense of responsibility.
This Special Report offers a valuable opportunity to enhance children's financial literacy, equipping them with the resilience needed to thrive in an increasingly complex world.
We hope you take time to reflect on the information offered in this Special Report, and as always, we welcome your feedback.
If you do have any concerns about the wellbeing of your child, please contact the school for further information or seek medical or professional help.

We have had a great term. The Committee would like to thank everyone for your support. We would like to encourage you to come to our next meeting which will be early in Term 4. Wishing all families a happy and safe holiday.
Digital Media Literacy and Safety
School TV hosted a very informative webinar on Wed Sept 3 about Digital Media Literacy and Safety. Please find time to read the summary points displayed here. Raising children in a digital age requires balance, awareness, and open communication. New regulations may change the rules, but parental guidance, strong family agreements, and positive role-modelling remain the most powerful tools. By understanding your child’s digital footprint, managing screen time and using parental controls wisely, you can help them build healthy habits, protect their wellbeing, and thrive both online and offline.
