Remember that students need to wear school hats in Terms 4 & 1.  If your child forgets their hat, they will have the opportunity to see if there are any spare hats in Sick Bay that they could use, or they will need to stay under the back verandah area, under cover.  The rule is  ‘No Hat, No Play’. It isn’t the end of the world if your child forgets their hat, and needs to play on the back verandah area.  In fact, I think it is great learning for your child to experience the natural consequences of forgetting their hat and staying on the back verandah area.  This helps your child to remember their hat the next day.    

We promote Sun protection at school.  Slip, Slop, Slap (slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, and slap on a hat).  We have sunscreen in each of the classrooms for students to use on particularly hot days.  If your child is sensitive to sunscreens, then you will need to supply your own sunscreen lotion.
