Dear Families,

I can hardly believe that it is the last week of term 3, how quickly the year seems to be going.  I really would like to say a big thank you to all the families for doing an amazing job with remote learning.  I want you to know that I am so very proud of all of you.  I appreciate how difficult it is and I think you are doing a great job.  Remember, be kind to yourself.  You don’t have to deliver a full day of schooling at home.  If you can get a bit of reading, writing and some number work done in a day, you are doing well.  If it is difficult to engage your child, then I suggest that you go with their interests. Perhaps you could do a google search on trucks (or whatever your child is interested in) and find some great pictures, maybe write a few sentences about each one.  Perhaps make a book about trucks, you could draw or paint trucks. If your dad has a truck you could take photos in and around the truck.  You could sit out the front and count the number of trucks that pass your house. You could do whatever peeks your interest about trucks.  As I’m writing this newsletter, I just saw a double carriage, long, lime green truck drive past our school.  It definitely caught my eye.

My prayer is that we all have restful and relaxed school holidays.
