Each year the Australian Book Council puts aside a week to celebrate Australian Literacy.  This year the theme is ‘Old Worlds, Other Worlds, New Worlds’.  We too, like to get into the spirit of things by promoting our Book Week Dress Up Day on Tuesday August 24^th.  We encourage everyone to dress either to the theme or come dressed as a book character. Let us have some fun!

As part of our Book Week celebrations, we also organise a Book Fair at school.  The Book Fair will be earlier in week 4.  The students will be able to visit the Fair on Wednesday, August 4^th during class time and then the Fair will be open Thursday 5^th & Friday 6^th August before and after school.  The school receives a small percentage of the sales at the Fair and we put that money back into our library resources.
