Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support
The Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support (WSAPBS) continues to be an important focus in our school. Over the past two years, our school has been explicitly learning about and practising our School Wide Expectations (SWE). These are: respect, resilience, inclusiveness and team workers.
Evidence clearly tells us that the WSAPBS impacts significantly on teaching and learning in a school and also on an ability to form positive relationships. To assist this initiative to continue to be prominent in the daily routines and structures of our school, we will be changing our weekly awards to reflect our SWE. This means that each week the classroom teacher will give a reward that will reflect one of the SWE. We are looking for actions that promote these positive expectations and will recognise them at our whole school assemblies.
