Principal's Message

Dear Families

A Springtime Prayer

Dear God,
Thank You for the beauty of Spring — for flowers blooming, new life growing, and sunshine that warms the earth.
We thank You for our friends who make our days happy and for our teachers who help us learn and grow.
Bless our school with kindness, joy, and curiosity as we continue to learn together.
Help us to see Your love in all of creation and share that love with others each day. Amen.

Welcome to Term 4! On Monday our Gr 3 & 4 students enjoyed a full day of camping style activities at Allambee Camp near Yarragon.  The students pushed their limits as they accepted challenges outside their comfort zones, when they participated in activities like The Giant Swing and The Vertical Challenge Wall.  Everyone had a great day.  Thank you Mr Troy for organising this for us.

School Review

On Tuesday and Wednesday, our staff participated in our School Review. We welcomed three representatives from DOSCEL (Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Ltd) who met with staff, students, and some parents to discuss our Strategic and Improvement Plans. The review process affirmed the great work happening at our school and provided valuable insights for our future direction. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and feel very affirmed by the experience.

Fun Club News
At lunchtimes, our Fun Club provides supported play opportunities for students. Last week, Georiga Bansgrove, one of our Learning Support Officers, was so impressed by the teamwork and resilience the children showed during our cup-building activity. What began as small group creations soon turned into one large collaborative build as the students joined forces and worked together beautifully.

Regional Primary School Athletics Carnival

Yesterday Olivia Pedemont participated in the Regional Primary School Athletics Carnival, she placed second in the Under 11s discuss event.  Congratulations Olivia, we are very proud of you.

Day for Daniel

Held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest child safety education and awareness event.

This special day honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe and reinforces the vital message that keeping kids safe is a responsibility we all share—parents, carers, educators, businesses…the entire community.

On Friday October 31st everyone is invited to wear red to school, to help create awareness of this important day.

Assembly

On Friday Oct 31 the Gr 5/6 class are presenting their learning at 3pm in the Mary MacKillop room.  We hope you can join us.

A Few Reminders

Remember we wear school hats in Terms 1 & 4.  If your child forgets their hat and there isn't a spare hat in Sick Bay, your child will play on the back verandah undercover.  Hopefully your child will remember to bring their hat the next day.

Remember we sell icy poles on Fridays in Term 1 & 4.  $1 each.
