Principal's Message

Dear Families

A Prayer for Our Dads

Loving God,
We thank You for our Dads.
Thank You for their love, their care, and the important role they play in our families.
Bless them with patience, strength, and joy.
Help us to show them kindness and gratitude every day.
Keep them safe in Your care and surround them with Your love.

Amen.

F.I.R.E. (Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education) Carrier Program: last week I did a First Nations lesson with all classes. Aleyan and Jaylah helped me. We have created a display in the Mary MacKillop room that you might like to check out the next time you are at school. We talked about being respectful and inclusive people.

Talent Show

Our Mini Vinnies team organised the best Talent Show.  We'd like to thank our judges Maddie McStay, Tom Harrison and Riley Griffin and of course, our host, Beau Treyvaud. We enjoyed comedy and magic acts, singing and dancing and even a taekwondo demonstration.  Our winners in F/1/2 were: Popppy and Samuel and in Gr 3/4/5/6 our winners were:  Pippa, Evie and Conrad.  Congratulations to all the performers, you put on a wonderful show.

Book Week

We had a very exciting Book Week Parade. Thank you parents for helping the students to come dressed as their favourite book character.  Gr 4/5 class were judged as the class who showed great positivity and enthusiasm as they paraded around.  The parent judges gave special commendation to Ms Midgley for her party dancing in the parade.  We were all really impressed Michele, so much fun!

Assemblies
We meet every Monday afternoon at 3.15pm to sing our National Anthem and give out our awards and Birthday certificates. Additionally, twice a term on a Friday afternoon our classes present their learning at Special Assemblies.  This term, F/1 class are presenting their Assembly on Friday September 12th at 3pm in the Mary MacKillop Room.  Everyone is welcome!

Hello everyone, my name is Yashoda Weerasinghe, 'Yash' in short.I’m originally from Sri Lanka and now live in Warragul with my husband and our 6-year-old child. Family means a lot to me, and I love spending time together, specially, travelling to new places.

I’ve worked as a teacher before, and I truly enjoy being around children and helping them learn and grow. I’m looking forward to giving my best to the school and community, and I’m excited to get to know everyone along the way.

Fun fact: I can never say no to a good chocolate cake – baking and trying new recipes is my happy place.

May God continue to bless and guide us in our learning
